AIMA stems from the Cyclotron Laboratory of the Centre Antoine Lacassagne, that designed and built the 1st hospital based cyclotron for Hadrontherapy in France.
AIMA is an engineering company for custom conceptual designs of various cyclotrons for research, industrial and medical equipments.
As a spinoff of these designs, an innovative compact cyclotron and its dedicated targetry system for SPECT and PET isotopes production has been developped and manufactured.
